Digireha Selected for the Silicon Valley Immersion Program Organized by NEDO

September 9, 2024

Digireha Inc. (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yuuki Oka), the company that develops and provides the rehabilitation DX tool “Digireha” to maximize the potential of individuals working with children with disabilities, is pleased to announce that it has been selected for the Silicon Valley Immersion Program organized by NEDO (https://www.nedosvo.org/sv-immersion-program).

Through this project, Digireha has had the opportunity to meet with health-tech startups that are making strides in the global market through their innovation. During intensive lectures in Japan, companies shared their valuable insights and challenges, working together to refine strategies and business models. As they advance toward Silicon Valley, they will further refine their strategies for entering the U.S. market with feedback from investors and healthcare professionals.

About the Silicon Valley Immersion Program
Since 2016, NEDO has been conducting a training program utilizing the Silicon Valley ecosystem for entrepreneurs who aim to challenge the U.S. and global markets. The program targets entrepreneurs from Japan who are keen to make an impact on a global scale.

While Japan’s entrepreneurial environment has been improving, there are still limited success stories of entrepreneurs who are competitive on the global stage. Additionally, there is still a significant gap in the number of talented individuals challenging startups compared to Europe and the U.S.

In Silicon Valley, where the world’s top entrepreneurs and a thick supporting ecosystem gather, this program aims to support Japanese entrepreneurs who are striving to expand globally. By collaborating with the inner circle of Silicon Valley, the program seeks to help create globally competitive businesses.

About Digireha Inc.
Digireha Co., Ltd. is committed to creating an environment where everyone can engage in systematic, evidence-based rehabilitation regularly. With the vision of “Rehabilitation as Fun,” we aim to make rehabilitation enjoyable and accessible to all.

The “Digireha” rehabilitation DX tool for children with disabilities was launched in 2021 and, as of August 2024, has been adopted by approximately 100 locations across Japan, including general hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, after-school day services, and special needs schools. Additionally, in order to address the fundamental issue of a shortage of specialized personnel, we launched the “Digireha ACADEMY” in 2023, a workshop that solves rehabilitation challenges using Digireha.

In the future, we plan to actively create evidence using Digireha. We are also developing an application that accumulates usage data to help evaluate rehabilitation, striving for a society where evidence-based, systematic rehabilitation can be provided anywhere, to anyone, and as many times as needed.
