Digireha to Present Its Rehabilitation DX Tool at Startup Park, MEDICA 2024, One of the World’s Largest Medical Device Trade Fairs

Digireha Inc. (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Yuuki Oka) is pleased to announce that its rehabilitation DX tool “Digireha” for children with disabilities was selected for exhibition in Startup Park at the “MEDICA 2024,” the world’s largest medical device trade fair which took  place from November 11th for four days in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Digireha Inc. is advancing the global expansion of its rehabilitation DX tool “Digireha” while promoting its domestic adoption. Recently, the company was selected for initiatives such as  “FY 2024 Healthcare Industry International Expansion Promotion Project” by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and “Silicon Valley Immersion Program” (hosted by the NEDO).Through our participation in “MEDICA 2024,” we aimed to foster global expansion by engaging in meaningful discussions and collaborative exchanges with our valued partnersp.

About MEDICA 2024

MEDICA is the world’s largest medical device trade fair held annually in Germany, attracting medical device distributors and hospital professionals from over 160 countries. It is a trade fair focused on finished medical devices. One of the key features of MEDICA is the simultaneous COMPAMED exhibition, which focuses on medical device components and related parts.

This year, as part of a new initiative to showcase Japan’s exceptional digital health-related products and technologies that push forward social solutions for challenges in healthcare, we will be exhibiting in Startup Park, a dedicated area for introducing startup companies at the MEDICA.

The “Digireha” rehabilitation DX tool for children with disabilities was launched in 2021 and, as of October 2024, has been adopted by approximately 115 locations across Japan, including general hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, after-school day services, and special needs schools. Additionally, in order to address the fundamental issue of a shortage of specialized personnel, we launched the “Digireha ACADEMY” in 2023, a workshop that solves rehabilitation challenges using Digireha.

In the future, we plan to actively create evidence using Digireha. We are also developing an application that accumulates usage data to help evaluate rehabilitation, striving for a society where evidence-based, systematic rehabilitation can be provided anywhere, to anyone, and as many times as needed.
